Jennifer Lucas is an Emmy award winning executive producer at Allen Media Group. Over the past 26 years, she has written and produced dozens of television shows across multiple genres. Her shows have been featured on NBC, CBS, broadcast television syndication and numerous cable networks including The Weather Channel. She is currently producing and developing scripts for Allen Media’s cable networks as well as the company’s feature film division and serves as executive producer on the comedy series Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen, Funny You Should Ask, and TheGrio Awards. Jennifer has earned multiple Emmy nominations for her work as executive producer of nine television court shows. Starting her career in unscripted television in the early 2000s, Jennifer joined MTV Networks (Viacom), where she produced the breakthrough dating series DisMissed. She also contributed to major live and original productions, including VH1 My Music Awards, Live @ The GRAMMYs Pre-Show (CBS & VH1), and Latin GRAMMYs Pre-Show (CBS & VH1), among other original programming. Jennifer and her husband, Byron Allen, use their global platforms to support children and families while advancing efforts rooted in economic justice, inclusion, and increasing opportunities for underserved communities through organizations like Baby2Baby, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and many more. A mother of three, Jennifer is especially dedicated to opening doors for young girls and is honored to serve on The Shaun Foundation for Girls Advisory Board.

I am excited to announce that my friend, Ambassador Candace Bond McKeever (ret.) is joining the Advisory Board of the S.H.A.U.N. Foundation for Girls. Candace served as United States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Trinidad and Tobago. As a Harvard-trained business leader, Candace has served as a CEO, trusted C-suite advisor and board leader across education, economic development, clean energy, housing, and health equity. She is also a former senior executive in media and entertainment and a lifelong advocate for equity and opportunity for children and communities. I am deeply honored to welcome Candace to the S.H.A.U.N. Foundation for Girls family! 💜

A quick trip to DC to take the stage at the HBCU HONORS to present the Visionary Award to my friend, the incredible Janice Bryant Howroyd! 🤎 Since I’m a graduate of Spelman College, I loved being part of the celebration of HBCUs! Such a fun Saturday evening at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA)! Congratulations to the ICONIC Debbie Allen on being awarded an Honorary OSCAR Sunday night at the Governors’ Awards, along with Tom Cruise 🏆 The room at DADA was incredible with so many friends saluting Debbie. ❤️
I attend a lot of charity events however, I have a special place in my heart for my friend Nancy Davis and her Cure Addiction Now. My family, like so many others has been touched by addiction. The 2nd Annual CAN fundraiser was a tremendous night that focused on helping society see addiction as the disease it is and finding a cure that will save countless lives. I had the honor of introducing the incredible Siedah Garrett. Black velvet suit by LAGENCE.
I was honored to be nominated during the WIN Awards - Women’s Image Network - which celebrates the importance of images of women in media. In addition to being a nominee, i was also a presenter. It was such a special night. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees!
My beautiful Cousin Bea got her angel wings today. She was one of my favorite cousins and she was so close to my grandma and daddy. Beatrice fought a long, hard fight - she was a warrior. Cousin Bea, I love you so much. Rest easy. 💔🙏🏾
