I woke up with a heavy heart thinking about Chadwick Boseman. The fact that this man persevered through rigorous filming days between painful chemo and surgeries to bring us masterpieces is extraordinary, inspiring, and heartbreaking, all at once. His perseverance is a metaphor particularly apropos to today’s challenging times, as we continue to bring excellence in spite of a society that unrelentingly beats us down. Rest in Power Chadwick. 🙏🏾

Mom and I were suppose to be on our fabulous overseas vacation to Brazil right now. Obviously, with the pandemic, those plans were cancelled. I spent my birthday in my hometown Detroit. It was beautiful because, no matter where I am, the best present is being with Mom. 💜
