A quick trip to DC to take the stage at the HBCU HONORS to present the Visionary Award to my friend, the incredible Janice Bryant Howroyd! 🤎 Since I’m a graduate of Spelman College, I loved being part of the celebration of HBCUs! The show is so powerful - so much talent! Tune in this Sunday, Nov. 30th at 8pm on BET! 🌟
Such a fun Saturday evening at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA)! Congratulations to the ICONIC Debbie Allen on being awarded an Honorary OSCAR Sunday night at the Governors’ Awards, along with Tom Cruise 🏆 The room at DADA was incredible with so many friends saluting Debbie. ❤️
I attend a lot of charity events however, I have a special place in my heart for my friend Nancy Davis and her Cure Addiction Now. My family, like so many others has been touched by addiction. The 2nd Annual CAN fundraiser was a tremendous night that focused on helping society see addiction as the disease it is and finding a cure that will save countless lives. I had the honor of introducing the incredible Siedah Garrett. Black velvet suit by LAGENCE.
I was honored to be nominated during the WIN Awards - Women’s Image Network - which celebrates the importance of images of women in media. In addition to being a nominee, i was also a presenter. It was such a special night. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees!
My beautiful Cousin Bea got her angel wings today. She was one of my favorite cousins and she was so close to my grandma and daddy. Beatrice fought a long, hard fight - she was a warrior. Cousin Bea, I love you so much. Rest easy. 💔🙏🏾
